At the very heart of the 2015 version of the ISO 9001 standard

The revision of the ISO 9001 standard is at the very heart of all subjects this year, mainly because it affects more than one million businesses worldwide. Recognized as the gold standard in the world, this certification may be obtained by any type of business or organization, regardless of its size, products, job or sector.

The 2015 version of the ISO 9001 standard has a new requirement that asks companies to seize opportunities for improvement and to prevent customer dissatisfaction through a risk treatment plan. This concept of risk control was not addressed at all in the previous version and is one of the main changes.

The challenge of this change therefore lies in the implementation of this practice: how to integrate a risk based approach within its quality system?

The DROP © methodology – for « Démarche d’identification des Risques et Opportunités d’amélioration d’un Processus », namely risk identification approach and opportunities to improve a process – has been specifically created by Euro-Symbiose to meet this new requirement. This method is the result of about ten consultants’ experience in the risk approach for over fifteen years. It seeks to simplify as much as possible the team work and wants to be clear and concrete for users (management teams, process pilots, quality service). It therefore fully meets the 2015 version of the ISO 9001 standard.
