A new Volkswagen requirement for all production sites

Françoise Jasnault during the VDA meeting - July 2015

As a member of VDA QMC since January 2011, Euro-Symbiose contributes exclusively in France to train and qualify automotive suppliers and part manufacturers to the different methods and requirements of the German industry. Under this agreement, we recently participated in the annual meeting where the 22 member countries* were present. This one took place in Dusseldorf (Germany) on 1st and 2nd July.

First of all, we took note of innovations developed by the VDA at the instigation of requirements of German manufacturers toward their supply chain. The new Volkswagen requirement took its place at the top of discussions, by indicating that a Product Safety Representative (PSR) should now be named on each production site and qualified at the end of a specific training.

In order to answer to this application, our consultant Valerie Le Couëdic has successfully completed the clearance process of trainer to the role of Product Safety Representative Trainer. The first session of PSR training took place on 26 and 27 October 2015.

Thereafter, a feedback about trade and technical practices took place with the 40 VDA members. To note that this year, it was Japan’s turn to have the place of honour. Brazil will be in its turn celebrated during the next meeting planned on July 2016 in Berlin: the samba should replace the kimono during this reception.
